Tuesday, November 3rd is a district wide remote learning day. If you need meals for your children for this day please submit a request by November 1st with the link below.

School pictures for all learners are schedule for tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28th. Remote learners are scheduled from 8:30-9:30 or 11:00-11:30. Please let the school know if you are a remote learner and are coming in for pictures. Get your smiles ready!
School Spirit Day will be this Friday, October 30th. Please wear your mustang gear or colors (green, white and gold) to show your school pride!
School picture forms have been sent home with learners today. Please return with your child on October 28th, picture day, if you are interested in ordering school pictures this year. There is an error on the form as it has Line School information. Please note that all the ordering information is the same and only the school and date information is incorrect.
On October 9th the USDA announced the extension of free meals to all children 18 and under through the end of the 2020-2021 school year!
Free meals consist of breakfast and lunch and must be a complete reimbursable meal in order to meet federal guidelines. Enrolled, in-person learners may receive free meals while attending school in-person. Remote learners, home schooled children, and any child 18 and under that is not of school age may pre-order meals for pick up by submitting the following form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdADGQNbsN3SNxOr23avHOMyeoo-sw39h5Nq6C0bTgL57MERg/viewform?usp=sf_link
RSU 57 highly recommends that all households continue to submit free and reduced applications for meal price benefits if you feel you may qualify. Each school district receives federal and state funding based on the percentage of students that are approved for free or reduced meal prices. Under counting those eligible for this program could harm many educational programs we rely on to serve our students. Regardless of whether your student chooses to receive school meals or not, it is critical that we properly account for all who are eligible.

What a great first week with our in person and remote learners! Thank you so much for your support and flexibility while we navigate the changes this year. In working to make our arrival and dismissal process more efficient and safe, we are asking all families to remain in their vehicles and if your child needs support buckling to please pull up past the yellow cone to the side of the driveway before doing so. Good afternoon Shapleigh Families! We have had an amazing day with our in person grade 1-5 learners today. Please remember if you are picking up your child today who normally takes the bus or if someone other than who you have indicated as a pick up person through your emergency card information, please be sure to call the office by 2:15pm. This will allow us to have your child ready for our 2:45pm parent dismissal. Thank you!

About 75% of devices for remote learners were picked up this week! We’re open at MMS until 7 pm tonight. After today, devices may be picked up at your child’s school. If you are picking up tomorrow, please call the school first.
