We are again very excited to share a wonderful opportunity for our PK – 5 students during the months of April and May as we continue to seek ways to promote literacy. Our local Masons groups, the Freedom Lodge of Limerick and the Day Spring Lodge of Newfield, have partnered up to sponsor a “Bikes for Books” program for Line and Shapleigh schools. During the months of April and May, children will earn a raffle ticket for each book they read (or have read to them for our little ones), either in school or at home. When they complete a book, their teacher will give them a ticket to complete that includes their name, class, and a little information about the book they read or that was read to them. These tickets will be turned into the office. The more books a child reads, the more tickets they can earn. At our end of the year assembly in June, we will have 12 bikes that we will raffle off with a bike going to one boy and one girl in each grade PK-5. We would like to express a sincere thank you to our local Masons groups for this opportunity!

100th Day of School: To support our 100th day of learning and kindness month, our gratitude challenge went home today! Please complete the form with 10 of each item you are thankful for and submit to Mrs. Carbone by Friday, March 5th for entry into a special drawing!

The Sanford Backpack Program will be receiving supply of food from Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, February 11th. They would like to extend the invitation to our surrounding districts to attend their free community food distribution event. Please see the attached community food distribution flyer if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity.
