Great day of snowshoeing with the Shapleigh pre-k! They did a great job learning how to walk in the snow.
K, 1st & 2nd grade learners engaged in a special morning full of seasonal activities based on recent winter themed literature they read. Activities aligned to themes in Owl Moon, The Mitten, Snowflake Bentley, and The Biggest Snowman Ever. Welcome winter!
Thank you to all those who joined Shapleigh Memorial and Line Elementary on December 5th for our Grade 1&2 holiday concert. Our students put on a wonderful performance with the Party in a Pear Tree theme. It was a great success!

Just a reminder to send boots, snow pants, hats, mittens, and winter coats with your child every day to school! They need all these items to play out on the playground in the winter.
Mrs. O’Neill’s kindergarten class did a Mystery Science activity and made wobble gobbles. They had to be sure to make the correct cuts and position the paper clips just right for the turkey to wobble down the string! Gobble gobble!
Breakout Boxes are a fun way to test collaborative problem solving skills! Fifth grade at Shapleigh did Breakout Boxes based on their Engineering is Elementary units; one was all about the impact of oil spills, and the other was about world ecosystems!
Thank you Shapleigh Fire Department for coming today! Learners discussed fire safety and trained through an obstacle course! Don’t forget to make your safety plan at home!
Ms. Kearns' 5th grade class at Shapleigh created a food web model to help them understand the impact of oil spills and soil contamination on the environment.
